The work of an operator on board a ship is changing from technical tasks to those more clerical and administratively demanding. This transformation well underway because developments in automation. automation bringing sensors into the system; this leads increasing number alarms stored engine control console. Reducing crew officers as result increase efficiency makes workload increase, especially troubleshooting conditions. Improvement alarm system for console proposal reduce support their decision-making process. To understand current conditions systems, three years data our training ship’s was recovered analyzed. We conclude that rate, per interval time, low acceptable light management guidelines. also found large false associated with sensor trouble. exposure such distrust system, known cry-wolf syndrome. will bring reasonable response rate alarms.
